As Disney prepares to begin production on Black Panther 2, with the recent signing of director Ryan Coogler, the awards are already lining up for the original film. Black Panther had the highest-grossing opening weekend of all time for a non-sequel film, and on November 4th, the rewards will begin to roll in from the film industry.
Disney is currently looking for Black Panther to land in 16 categories at the upcoming Academy Awards, which is scheduled to take place on February 24. The Black Panther film is already slated for the Hollywood Production Design Award,and is scheduled to receive the 2018 Hollywood Film Award on November 4.
