Word around town is that Cardi B is hard at work on her debut album. Her and her team, we hear, are currently putting the final touches on some songs, recording vocals on others and reviewing artwork for the album. But some fans are not trying to hear that. After releasing her chart topping singles, her album has become highly anticipated. For a new artist who is creating a debut project that anticipation, although its good, can be stressful.
Other fans have begun to use social media to criticized the star for delaying the album’s release for the second time and some speculate that she is waiting for Nicki Minaj’s album to drop first. To those fans Cardi B took to social media and responded lightheartedly, “waiting for what…? what is that going to do for me, and imma release my s**t very soon,” with a winking emoji. She also added, “I don’t think those songs wheee album worthy. That’s why if you see my IG story I’m on the studio every day working on my s**t sooo… what’s your point? Are you going to buy my album lil b***h?”
Cardi B’s debut album was scheduled to drop in October of 2017 then it was pushed back. Currently, its release date has not been announced but the anticipation and her hard work may work in her favor when it does drop.
