Cardi B Sets New Apple Music Record for Most-Streamed Album Ever – Details Here!

Cardi B’s debut album, “Invasion of Privacy”, which features her hit singles “Bodak Yellow” and “Bartier Cardi”, has been streamed more than 100 million times worldwide in just a week, making it Apple Music’s most-streamed album by a female artist in its first week. The record for Apple Music’s most-streamed album for a female artist was previously held by Taylor Swift for her album “Reputation”. Cardi’s single “Bodak Yellow” has become the only second song by an unaccompanied female rapper to ever top the chart after Lauryn Hill did so in 1998 with “Doo Wop (That Thing)”.

Taylor Swift in appreciation of Cardi B’s artistry sent a congratulatory bouquet of flowers complementing her for all of her recent achievements. Cardi B replied via social media showing her gratitude in a post captioned, “Sooo beautiful and lovely .Thank you @taylorswift for the flowers ….and I freaking love your music.”

Complements well deserved, “Invasion of Privacy” is expected to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart this coming week. When it does debut at #1, Cardi B will become the fifth female rapper ever to debut at #1 behind Nicki Minaj who did it twice, Eve, Foxy Brown and Lauryn Hill. In the process of chart climbing, Cardi has also become the first female rapper of color to appear on a #1 hit since Lil Kim did it in a collaboration with Pink, Mya and Christina Aguilera in their 2001 song, “Lady Marmalade”.
