Childish Gambino released one of the most prolific videos ever when he dropped “This is America.” The timing of the song and video’s release was impeccably accurate to conjunct with what people were feeling but were unable to express clearly at the time.
Weeks after its release the song has achieved so many accolades including debuting at #1 on the Billboard charts. And now, with over a million copies sold, “This is America” has been certified platinum by the RIAA.
