Estevan Oriol Embarks for New York to Promote His Book, THIS IS LOS ANGELES, A Celebration of His 25-Plus Year Career in Photography

World famous photographer Estevan Oriol will be in New York City next week promoting his acclaimed book, This Is Los Angeles , a visual history of his 25-plus year career in photography. While visiting the Big Apple, Estevan will also be showcasing his iconic work at the Beyond the Streets exhibition in Williamsbug, Brooklyn. The street art and graffiti exhibit opens with an exclusive VIP viewing on June 19, two days before it is open to the public.

This Is Los Angeles became a poetic collaboration between the “City of Angels” (LA) and the “City of God” (Rome), being published by the esteemed Roman publisher, Drago . This is the third collaboration between Estevan and Drago, previous releases include the popular LA Portraits (2013) and LA Woman (2015) books. A limited edition box set bundle will be released this October. From the glamour to the grit, This Is Los Angeles is the definitive anthology of Estevan Oriol’s shots. With an extraordinary career spanning three decades, Estevan Oriol provides exclusive access to the true heart of Los Angeles. His extensive portfolio covers urban, gang, and tattoo counterculture, as well as featuring portraits of famous athletes, artists, celebrities and musicians. From Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre and Eminem to Danny Trejo, Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino, these iconic photographs open up a thrilling window to the world of Los Angeles.

Estevan Oriol is an internationally celebrated professional photographer, director and urban lifestyle entrepreneur. Beginning his career as a hip-hop club bouncer-turned tour manager for popular Los Angeles-based rap groups Cypress Hill and House of Pain, Estevan’s passion for photography developed while traveling the world. He was featured in the Los Angeles episode of Anthony Bourdain’s “ Parts Unknown .” Currently, his work is being displayed as part of the Contact High exhibit at the Annenberg Museum Space for Photography , and his forthcoming documentary “LA Originals” (expected winter 2020) will act as a visual screenplay of This Is Los Angeles .
