Idris Elba has launched his own record company called 7Wallace Music. The actor is not new to music as he has been featured in music videos before and he also Dj’s and produces music. His production credits include Diddy and Talib Kweli and luxury brands like Yves Saint-Laurent and Prada.
The first artist signed to the 7Wallace Music by Idris Elba is a French artist named James BKS. About James BKS, Idris told Billboard, “James is a rare find. His hip-hop sensibilities transfer to the other music he makes, he’s a nice person to work with and is gonna be a strong artist in the future. It’s a huge move for 7Wallace, a small indie label.”
James BKS’ upcoming first single on the label is titled “Kwlele” and its scheduled to drop on July 13.
