It’s still unclear why Steve Madden got involved in a feud which was between Nicki Minaj and Cardi B when he could have stayed neutral and continue to make money. But as they say after the shot is fired its impossible to call the bullet back. Steve Madden took to social media a day or so ago and bluntly called Nicki Minaj a liar and completely denied his company ever offered her a deal which she said she declined. Turns out Nicki has witnesses, furthermore, there was a mention of the deal by Steve Madden in a printed 2015 interview.
Hip-Hop is seeming like that family that fights each other all the time but as soon as an outsider opens their mouth about one of them, they all jump him. Iggy Azalea, 50 Cent and others have come to Nicki Minaj’s defense. 50 Cent who you don’t wanna rump with and who is potentially undefeated when it comes to beef; took to social media and posted a 2015 Vibe interview in which Steve Madden talks about wanting to work with Nicki Minaj. In the interview, he stated, “We were thinking of doing something, and I would’ve, but I was with Iggy and I thought, ‘Coke and Pepsi.’ It was a mistake. I made a mistake and I wish that I could go back in time and work with Nicki instead of Iggy.”
Iggy Azalea took to her social media and called Steve Madden a “f*uck boy”, followed by a post supporting Nicki’s claims. In the post she stated, “I’m not on no one side but Steve lying like shit.” Iggy later deleted both posts. Stay tuned for more on this developing story.
