Joey Bada$$ Tapped to Work with Halle Berry & Others on TV Reboot “Boomerang”
Every now and then Joey Bada$$ disappears off the scene and then pops up again with something big. Most recently the Brooklyn bred star was tapped to star in a recurring role on the upcoming TV reboot of movie “Boomerang”. The TV series is executive produced by Halle Berry who stared along with Eddie Murphy in the 1992 movie “Boomerang”. Joey Bada$$ aka Jo-Vaughn Virginie Scott, is scheduled to play a professional musician with a dark background named Camden Knight.
In the original “Boomerang” Eddie Murphy played Marcus Graham, whose love interest was, Jacqueline Broyer, played by Robin Givens; and Angela Lewis played by Halle Berry. The “Boomerang” reboot focuses on the lives of Broyer’s son and the daughter of Marcus and his now-wife Angela, played by actors Tequan Richmond and Tetona Jackson, as they seek to step out of their parents’ shadows. “Boomerang” premiere date is not yet set but it will air on BET network sometime in 2019.
