Kendrick Lamar during his performance at Hangout Fest in Gulf Shores, Alabama, called a young lady up on stage to rap his song “M.A.A.D. City.” The young lady who was white came on stage and all started well until at some point in the song she used the N-word which was in the song. Kendrick Lamar at that point stopped the show and stopped her.
The dialogue which followed went something like this. After Kendrick stopped the show and stopped her, she the said, “Aren’t I cool enough for you? What’s up, bro?”
Lamar responded, “You got to bleep one single word, though,” and the fan said, “Oh, I’m sorry. Did I do it? I’m so sorry … I’m used to singing it like you wrote it.”
Kendrick then asked the audience if he should give her another chance, although the audience booed, he gave her another chance and she performed the song again. Check out a video below.
