Kendrick Lamar’s Debut Album Spends 300 Weeks On Billboard Chart – Details Here!

Kendrick Lamar has been having an historic run this year including becoming the first rapper to receive the Pulitzer Award, and his much talked about recent big screen debut on Power. Now Billboard while exploring it s chart history discovered that Kendrick’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, which dropped in October 2012, is still charting.

Kendrick Lamar’s six year old album, the album that put him on the map and made him a household name is at No. 116 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. They also discovered that the album has been on the chart for its 300th week. Kendrick’s album, good kid, m.A.A.d. city, has become the fourth Hip Hop album to achieve this lengthy run only led by Eminem’s Recovery which dropped in 2010 and has charted for 312 weeks, The Eminem Show which dropped in 2002 and has charted for 354 weeks and Curtain Call: The Hits which dropped in 2005 and has charted for 403 weeks.
