Meek Mill who was sentenced to 2 – 4 years in jail last November for an alleged violation of his probation may be getting out soon. According to reports, the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office thinks his recent sentence was too excessive and that there’s a “strong likelihood” his sentence will be overturned. The current case stems from Meek Mill’s arrest and conviction for drugs and gun possession over a decade ago when he was 21 years old. After his current sentence was handed down the hip hop community went berserk and the Free Meek Mill protest was born. In addition, artists such as Rick Ross and others spent money on attorneys to rep the star and keep the free Meek movement going. After being locked up for months now, Meek may finally be free again soon.
Fast forward to Nicki Minaj who according to reports has been missing their relationship and is considering going to visit Meek with the hopes of stirring talks that will open door which may lead to reconciling their romance. If these reports are true, its not clear how Meek Mill would feel about getting back together with Nicki, especially after the Nicki and Nas thing. Meek and Nicki had made great music together in the past so if their getting back together relationship wise doesn’t work out, maybe they can still collaborate musically in the future.
