Meet Actor Jahi Winston from Upcoming Movie Proud Mary – *TUNE-IN* ALERT

The multi-talented Jahi Winston is set to take 2018 by storm with several projects set to release in the first quarter! Tune-in while he promotes Sony Pictures & Screen Gems’ film PROUD MARY.

The first of Jahi’s projects is his lead role in the Sony Pictures & Screen Gems’ film PROUD MARY. Playing the role of “Danny,” a young teen doing his best to navigate life in Boston. Jahi is the second lead opposite Taraji P. Henson who plays “Mary,” a hit woman working for an organized crime family. Jahi and Taraji’s worlds are flipped upside when one a professional hits goes awry. Directed by Babak Najafi and written by John Stuart Newman, Christian Swegal and Steven Antin the film also stars Billy Brown and Danny Glover and is set to release January 12, 2018.

Following up his appearance in theaters, Jahi’s next project is Netflix’s thirty-minute dramedy “Everthing Sucks!” set to release in February. The 10 episode series follows two groups of high school misfits – the AV club and the drama club who collide in this quirky, funny coming-of-age story set in Oregon in 1996. Jahi plays the lead role of freshman “Luke O’Neil,” the only child of a single mom who joins his school’s AV Club. Created by Ben York Jones and Michael Mohan, the series is set to release in 2018.

Jahi will also be appearing in the Weinstein Company film The Upside, a remake of the 2011 French blockbuster “The Intouchables.” Shadowing the comedic relationship between a wealthy paraplegic (Bryan Cranston) and an unemployed man with a criminal record (Kevin Hart) who is hired to help him, the film’s release date is to be determined.

This Atlanta native has had a passion to pursue acting for as long as he can remember and received his first paid acting gig as “Young Simba” in the Broadway production of Disney’s The Lion King. Starting his career on Broadway, Jahi attributes his discipline and professionalism to his time on the stage and considers it one of the best times of his life.

Currently residing in Marietta, Georgia, Jahi enjoys playing baseball, singing and working on building, his non-profit organization called “You Can Too,” which encourages kids to pursue their dreams in the arts and education.
