For the sixth year in a row, elite strategic branding firm DNES Marketing has partnered with some of the biggest brands and brightest talents in today’s urban music space to present the Sixth Annual SXSW Takeover, set to take place March 12-14, 2014 in Austin, TX. As in years past, DNES – the company behind the 2012 Shady 2.0 Showcase featuring 50 Cent and Eminem and the 2013 Mass Appeal Ice Cream Social featuring Kendrick Lamar, T.I., Bun B and more
– is poised to present some of the most talked-about buzzworthy showcases at this year’s SXSW Music Festival.
Day 1, Pink Dolphin with thissongissick.com present the Taylor Gang Showcase on Thursday, March 13, which will feature performances by Wiz Khalifa, Berner, Chevy Woods, Steve Aoki, Ty Dolla $ign, Tuki Carter, Courtney Noelle, and more. Day 2, Mass Appeal and Grooveshark are turning up the Texas heat on, Friday, March 14 for their SXSW Takeover. With a lineup that is sure make to make jaws drop coast to coast, you can be confident that Austin will never be the same. The SXSW Takeover line-up includes: Nas, B.O.B., A$AP Mob, Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Captain Murphy, BadBadNotGood, Boldy James, Bishop Nehru, plus SBOE, Cali Smoov, and TJ Mizell. If that’s not enough, DJ Mick will be holding it down on the 1s and 2s, while the ever-essential Sway will be handling hosting duties. Day 3, Mac Miller’s REMember Music imprint is to present The #LargerThanLifeShowcase on the final night of The Takeover, Saturday, March 15, 2014. The event will also serve to launch Mac Miller’s singular music platform, REMember.FM. More than just the homepage of Mac Miller’s eclectic indie label, the new site promises one thing: to reconnect you with your love for music. In addition to serving as a platform for Mac Miller and the artist under his umbrella, REMember.FM also aims to launch the careers of previously unknown musical talent and other forms of artistic expressions. The #LargerThanLife Showcase will feature Mac Miller and other REMember Music artists and is set for 7pm at the Scoot Inn located at 1308 E. 4th Street, Austin, TX; 78702.
