Oscar winner Phillip Seymour Hoffman is Laid to Rest..

received a private sendoff Friday as  family, friends and the acting community joins the actor’s family at a lengthy mass in a packed church to grieve for the loss of one of the great actors of his age. Hoffman passed away five days after his apparent heroin overdose, at the age of 46. 

Hoffman, widely considered one of the premier actors of his generation, who was nominated for Academy Awards four times, won the Oscar for best actor in 2006 for his portrayal of writer Truman Capote in Capote. He earned Academy Award nominations for roles in Charlie Wilson’s War, Doubt, and The Master. And was currently shooting the next Installment of the Hunger Games.

 
Hoffman is survived by his three children Tallulah, Cooper, and Willa Hoffman.
