Pandora Celebrates Black History Month

Pandora kicked off its celebration of Black History Month with an epic Trap Karaoke event in Los Angeles. Hip hop fans did their best to honor their favorite artists with their own renditions of songs, while key performers Flipp Dinero and City Girls made special appearances, performing right alongside their fans.

Pandora is celebrating Black artist excellence all month long with programming from some of America’s most notable voices, from the artists that have shaped our world to the young talent who are making history today.

Pandora will also reflect on how musical lineage and influence impact current music and look to the future by looking back at the soundtrack that leads it by asking some of their favorite artists who inspires them. Black History Month Playlist: Pandora’s Black History Month 2019 playlist embodies the great northern migration of the 1900s, beginning with John Lee Hooker’s arrival in Detroit and moves through joyful anthems – Aretha’s “Think” and the disco-era celebration “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now” – through modern, forward-thinking songs by J.
