Rihanna & Puma Face Copyright Infringement Lawsuit – Details Here!

Rihanna and Puma are reportedly being sued by a little known clothing brand called, Freedom United Clothing. According to court documents filed by Freedom United Clothing, the lawsuit is based on copyright infringement by Rihanna and Puma. The company claims that the star intentionally jacked their “FU” logo and used it for her brand Fenty University.

In the court documents filed, Freedom United says Rihanna and Puma were aware of their logo because she was photographed wearing one of their hoodies in 2014 and in 2007, Chris Brown attended their Freedom United launch party. Prior to the lawsuit, Freedom United issued a cease and desist letter to Rihanna and Puma. Attorneys for Puma reportedly responded that Fenty University’s fonts were different and that Freedom United wasnt an official trademark therefore their letter is invalid.
