Romeo Santos Set To Make History At MetLife Stadium

Following two record-setting sold out Yankee Stadium shows in 2014 , The King of Bachata,  Romeo Santos, took to his socials to announce his history making concert at   METLIFE STADIUM on September 21 st, Santos will be the first Latin artist to headline the 80 thousand seat venue.  UTOPIA  The Concert will give fans a day to celebrate Romeo’s recent  #1 album which includes features fromFrank Reyes, Anthony Santos, Monchy & Alexandra, Aventura and more! 
  
“I’ve never performed in such a prestigious venue, not even when I was apart of Aventura or in my solo career” says Romeo Santos in a video that he posted on his Instagram, where he invited his fans to guess where his concert will take place earlier this month. 
  
UTOPIA, debuted  as the #1 album on the  Top Latin Albums and  Tropical Albums Billboard charts  and is Romeo Santos’ 5 th consecutive #1 album on the Top Latin Album chart. UTOPIA represents a mix of new and original collaborations with some of the biggest Dominican artists of this generation. The 12-track album offers collaborations with traditional  bachateros that many grew up listening and the album showcases Romeo Santos’ love for the Dominican tradition.   
  
The bachata genre will be incomplete without the  mentioning of the hit group,  
Aventura, which not only opened the door for Romeo’s solo career, but put the genre on the map and help make it  a worldwide phenomenon. 
  
“Inmortal” which Santos reunites with his bandmates Aventura after 10 years, has now reached more than 45 million views on Youtube since its release, becoming the #1 trending song from the album.  “La Demanda,” another unique collaboration from UTOPIA brings the notorious bachatero Raulín Rodriguez and Romeo together for their visual that has surpassed 10 million views to date.  
  
With his unmistakably moving voice, Santos seals the deal with this 12-track album making it a work of art. UTOPIA was produced in New York and parts of the Dominican Republic. The King of Bachata recently won three Billboard awards in  “Song of The Year” for  “Sobredosis” featuring Ozuna.  “Tropical Artist of The Year” and “ Tropical Group Artist Of The Year” with  Aventura.
