Spotify Rethinking Hateful Conduct Policy Following Kendrick Lamar’s Threat To Pull Music – Details Here!

Spotify is rethinking the application of their Hate Content & Hateful Conduct policy which they unveiled earlier this month. Because of the wide range of what the policy can restrict and the punishment of being removed from it’s platform, Spotify basically became a sensor of music. There were literally thousands of artist who would have had to have been eventually removed from the platform based on the new policy.

But recently Kendrick Lamar reportedly called Spotify’s CEO and their Head of Artist Relations and threatened to pull his and his TDE artists K-Dot, ScHoolboy Q, SZA and Ab-Soul’s music from the platform unless they changed their new policy. TDE president Terrence “Punch” Henderson in a post following Spotify’s announcement earlier this month commented, “Whoa. Are they censoring the music? That’s dangerous.”

Spotify is reportedly rethinking their new policy and may be releasing some updates soon, especially since the list of artist threatening to pull their music is growing.
