Tekashi 6ix9ine was reportedly arrested on Wednesday, July 11th at JFK Airport in, New York and is being held without bail. Tekashi was reportedly arrested for allegedly chocking a 16-year-old boy at Houston’s Galleria Mall in Texas. He appeared in court yesterday (Thursday) with his lawyer who asked the judge to let the star out on bail. The lawyer’s reasoning was that Tekashi had to take care of his family and had learned a valuable lesson.
The judge in the case reportedly denied their request for bail and deemed 6ix9ine a “flight risk.” The judge also reportedly cited his lengthy rap sheet which includes a 2015 child sex crime. He will reportedly remain in prison in New York until his next hearing on July 20. Shortly after that hearing, he will reportedly be extradited to Texas.
