Tekashi 6ix9ine who was reportedly being held at a high-security unit on Rikers Island has reportedly been released on bail. The star was being held in isolation in an area of the prison reportedly created for inmates with illnesses and for high-profile inmates to protect their safety.
6ix9ine was ordered held without bail after his arrest at JFK Airport on July 11th for allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old at Houston’s Galleria Mall. But, according to TMZ, 6ix9ne was released on bail, yesterday (July 13) after his attorneys called for an emergency hearing. They later convinced a judge to allow the star to be released on a $150,000 bail. As part of the bail agreement, 6ix9ine was ordered to surrender to Harris County, Texas officials and to pay them a $5,000 bail to avoid incarceration there until his hearing.
