The Actual Met “Heavenly Bodies Fashion & The Catholic Imagination” Exhibition as Seen By The Stars – Pics Part 2 Here!

Shortly after the star studded Met Gala. the museum announced its Heavenly Bodies Fashion & The Catholic Imagination Exhibition which opens to the public on May 19th. From its opening day until October 8th, the public will have the opportunity to view the entire exhibition as the stars did during the Met Gala.

The exhibition which is presented by the Costume Institute, feature a dialogue between fashion and medieval art from The Met collection, examining fashion’s engagement with the devotional practices and traditions of Catholicism.

The exhibition, includes papal robes and accessories from the Sistine Chapel sacristy, many of which have never been seen outside The Vatican, will be on view in the Anna Wintour Costume Center. Fashions from the early 20th century to the present will be shown in the Byzantine and medieval galleries, part of the Robert Lehman Wing, and at The Met Cloisters.

Some critics have criticized the exhibition as sacrilegious because of it inclusion of such religious sacred items with modern day salacious fashion outfits.

Check out some of the exhibition photos below.
