TLC have revealed new details for their much-anticipated, self-titled album due June 30, which is now available for pre-order and an instant-grat track called “Haters”. The iconic girl-group will play their first ever UK show at Koko on Tuesday, May 9 and will livestream select tracks from the sold-out performance via Facebook.
The musical pioneers recently unveiled their first single, “Way Back (featuring Snoop Dogg),” which offers a sneak peek into their first album in fifteen years. TLC has been – as the opening lyric of “Way Back” suggests – “a long, long time coming.” This is the sound of a band not only reflecting on their sometimes-turbulent roots, but also facing forward towards a bright future. “Way Back” was greeted with unanimous praise in the US and abroad and is followed by newly revealed “Haters,” another classic but contemporary cut from a group who appear invigorated to be back doing what they do best.
TLC will headline the I Love The ‘90s – The Party Continues Tour with Sugar Ray’s Mark McGrath, Naughty By Nature, Biz Markie, Montell Jordan, and others, that kicks off July 7 in Everett, WA and ends September 16 in Chicago, IL.
With their new album finally unveiled – and sold-out shows on the horizon – TLC are unquestionably back where they’re supposed to be – and unquestionably still Crazy, Sexy, Cool.
