The “Black Panther” movie soundtrack is the #1 album on Billboard for a second week in a row with 131,000 units sold. The album is the biggest second week sales for a soundtrack since the “Fifty Shades of Grey” soundtrack dropped in 2015.
We save the best for last. The Black Panther movie is on track to be a billion dollar movie within a short period of time. That is amazing. The film has made over $704 million in its second weekend in theaters. So far among other broken records “Black Panther” is Marvels highest earning movie ever and it’s only been out for 13 days.
Also, theater owners all around the world have begun to demand more diverse movies from Hollywood. They see the numbers being done by Black Panther and they want that level of creativity and talent to continue because it means more money and more success.
