Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, Maxwell, Michael Stipe and others are headed to Washington, D.C. to make their voices heard, literally. The planned “Protest Kavanaugh” event will take place on Thursday (Sept 4), outside the Supreme Court building at 7 p.m.. The protest event is in supports of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and Deborah Ramirez, who have accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of alleged sexual assault.

The event organizers are inviting those who cannot make it to Washington to sign protest pledges locally. They state, “If there was ever a moment when the voice of the people can come together in concert to change the fate of our nation, this is it. Arm in arm, organized and ready, every child, woman, and man, must take to the streets to protest this nomination.”
