On Saturday, September 29 it was a grand time had by all as Oscar nominee Angela Bassett hosted a release reception for Twelve-time Grammy nominee Ledisi who was thrilled to have released her second book The Walk: Accepting Your Life As It Is Now with Noah’s Ark Publishing (2018). Held at the Grammy Museum (Clive Davis Theater), fans enjoyed a very endearing and comical Q&A held by Bassett diving into questions about Ledisi’s life, experiences and how readers can find inspiration to living their best life. Also in attendance showing support were Warryn & Erica Campbell, actor Coleman Domingo, and director/playwright Don B. Welch among others.

The Walk is a new inspirational book, where Ledisi uses her voice as she does with music to tell her heartfelt journey to living her best life. Evoking emotions and drawing readers in page by page, The Walk is currently available via Amazon and takes readers through simple and optimistic ways the singer harnesses from her own life: personal and professional. The Walk will guide readers in finding their own happiness with the premiere vocalist’s sage advice. See photos from this weekend’s event below!
