Ariana Grande has reportedly been battling with anxiety since her break up with Mac Miller and prior to his death. In an upcoming BBC special which was taped in early September, the star told the show’s host, that she feels guilty about suffering from anxiety but at the same time, she knows that she’s the “luckiest girl in the world.” She also candidly confesses to having some down days caused by anxiety and that she sings about her struggles in her new album “Sweetener”.
Her entire interview wasn”t completely gloomy, she acknowledges being lucky for having such a great career amongst other things. But the talented star even back almost two months ago was going through some premonitions.
“You have ups and downs and sometimes you’ll go weeks at a time where you will be crushing it and there will be no anxiety,” she said. “Then something will happen that can trigger it. It feels silly because I feel like the luckiest girl in the world… So I almost feel guilty I have it. It’s in your head, no matter how good things are.”
Her upcoming BBC TV special, Ariana Grande at the BBC, which includes the full interview and performance of music from her album is scheduled to air in the U.K. on, November 1.
