Today, burgeoning Minneapolis MC/vocalist deM atlaS releases a captivating music video for his song, “Pneumonia.” Thematically, the track touches on some of the same lyrical concepts of his 2018 debut album, Bad Actress: unhealthy relationships, struggles with mental illness, and an indomitable drive to overcome them. Directed by Tazbah Chavez, the “Pneumonia” video juxtaposes deM atlaS’ inner turmoil with a sunny California backdrop.

Known for his captivating stage shows, deM atlaS was tapped for direct support on label mate Atmosphere’s Mi Vida Local Tour through the U.S. and Europe. The “Pneumonia” video release precedes West Coast and Pacific Northwest tour dates, including a sold out performance tonight (February 7) in Los Angeles at The Novo, and upcoming sold out shows in San Diego, Sacramento, Seattle and Portland.
