Dr. Dre has acquired the rights to make a biopic about the legendary Marvin Gaye and his life. Dr. Dre will also probably helm the accompanying soundtrack which would have so many potential and be super dope. The Marvin Gaye biopic is reportedly still in its developmental stages and no one has been cast to play the late legend yet. There are talks of the possibility of jamie Foxx or a completely new face to star as the late legend.

With the acquisition of the rights to also use Marvin Gaye’s music, the soundtrack could bring new life to the legends music and introduce it to a new and younger audience. There has been several attempts in the past to bring Marvin Gaye’s story to the big screen but none has been successful thus far. Let’s hope Dr. Dre’s attempt will be successful because, Marvin Gaye’s story is worth telling and his music is iconic.
