Not too long ago, many including the media speculated that Drake’s career may be in trouble, some went even further and suggested it was over. Drake must have not gotten those memos. The star confidently dropped his new album, Scorpion and has been breaking and setting new records since.

The most impressive record to date is Scorpion has made Drake the first artist to hit one billion streams in a week. Billboard stated, Drake made history again after Scorpion reached a billion global streams within its first week. Post Malone held the previous one week streaming record with 700 million for his album, Beerbongs & Bentleys. Drake’s Scorpion, tied and then passed 700 million streams in less than three days.

Congrats are in order to Drake for first surviving the Pusha T lyrical assault with a strategic decision not to respond which would have kept the beef going and for the tremendous success of his new album, Scorpion.
