Fabolous To Be Inducted Into Celebrity Path At Iconic Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Borough President Eric L. Adams has the distinct honor of recognizing the cultural achievements made by a diverse array of talented Brooklynites. Hip-Hop artist Fabolous (aka John David Jackson), a proud product of Bedford-Stuyvesant, was recently at Brooklyn Borough Hall, during a ceremony where Borough President Eric L. Adams presented Fabolous with accolades and a citation for his musical and philanthropic contributions.
We announce, with the utmost pleasure, that on Sunday, June 11, 2017, Borough President Eric L. Adams will also induct Fabolous into the Celebrity Path on the grounds of the iconic Brooklyn Botanic Garden, where a marker bearing Fabolous’ name will be installed, alongside the markers of other celebrity Brooklyn-bred sons and daughters during a “Welcome Back to Brooklyn” ceremony. The Brooklyn Celebrity Path, which is visited by thousands of tourists from around the world annually, is similar to the Hollywood Walk-of-Fame
Moreover, during a public ceremony at the event, President Adams will present Fabolous with the borough’s most prestigious award bestowed upon notable individuals – the Key to Brooklyn. “I feel honored to be inducted into Brooklyn’s own Celebrity Path and receive a key to the city in June. Along with the accolades and citation I was presented with last week from Borough President Eric L. Adams, I am grateful to be recognized by my hometown for my contributions and to receive the borough’s highest honors says, Fabolous.”
