Ghanaian Artist SARKODIE Drops African Hip-Hop Album “Highest” + 6 New Videos

Named as one of the biggest hip-hop acts on the African continent by The Guardian and with four hugely popular and acclaimed studio albums to his name, the Ghanaian hip-hop artist and winner of the Best International Act: Africa at the 2012 BET Awards, Sarkodie has released his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Highest, on Sarkcess Music.

The release comes on the heels of Sarkodie’s prodigious NYC performance at a sold out Hammerstein Ballroom last weekend, his largest Stateside show to date. View a show-day recap HERE.

Highest is a collection of 18 cuts of stellar African influenced hip-hop and Afro-Beat that are set to push him even further into the international stratosphere. Track 19, a bonus track, happens to be the global smash “Painkiller” ft Runtown – which has been streamed over 8 million times to date. In celebration, Sarkodie has released six videos from the album, debuted on Friday at MTV Africa.
