Grammy Award-Winning Singer/Songwriter Tye Tribbett Receives BET Award Nomination
Two-Time GRAMMY Award-winning singer/songwriter Tye Tribbett received a BET Award nomination for the upcoming 2017 BET Awards announced today by BET Networks, taking place at Microsoft Theater on Sunday, June 25 in Los Angeles. Receiving honors for Dr. Bobby Jones Best Gospel/Inspirational Award as a featured artist for the Billboard Top 15 radio smash single “I Made It,” which is composed by Tribbett and Dave Outing and performed by R&B singer Fantasia, the Motown Gospel recording artist earns his second ever BET Award nomination.
In addition to his recent nomination, Tye’s current smash single “Work It Out” continues to gain momentum at Gospel radio spending its second week in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay (No. 5) and Hot Gospel Songs Hybrid charts (No. 4), which combines airplay, digital sales and streaming data.
