The Charlotte Spectrum Center was rocking on June 29th when Ice Cube’s Big 3 came through for the first time since 2017. In it’s third year of inception, the Big 3 featuring back to back 3 on 3 basketball games featuring recently retired NBA stars has expanded even more.

Based on it’s ever growing popularity, the Big 3 has now expanded from eight to twelve teams, and is stopping in even more cities like Detroit and Salt Lake City.

The Big 3 scored a TV production deal with CBS this year and they have added several new popular former NBA stars like Gilbert Arenas and Joe Johnson to play along with previous mainstays like Stephen Jackson and Nate Robinson.

We spoke with many players after the games and they all said that it’s their passion for the game of basketball and the continued camaraderie that keeps the league going.
