Kodak Black walked out of his interview with Hot97 following a question from the show’s host Ebro about his ongoing sexual assault case. Kodak Black, like many other artist do promotional tours to promote their upcoming albums. But when Kodak stopped at Hot97 to promote his album, the interview which was going smoothly suddenly turned. As he answered questions from Ebro, Rosenberg and Laura Stylez regarding his album Dying To Live, which drops tomorrow (Dec. 14th), his ongoing case was brought up.
Ebbro stated, “With respect to everybody involved in that case, you know we can’t get into details today. But, you know, we take sexual assault here serious. We can’t get into details, but we hope to have you back so we can have a deeper conversation about that because it’s a serious topic.”
Kodak Black didn’t respond. It was apparent from the look on his face that he did not appreciate that topic being brought up. So Peter Rosenberg followed up with a question to change the subject. When Kodak didn’t respond again, Ebro interjected, “You seem upset that I brought it up.”
Kodak responded, “I feel like sometimes when n*ggas be going through sh*t, like, y’all be entertained by bullsh*t.” When he finished his sentence, Ebro responded. That’s when Kodak Black walked out.
According to reports, Kodak was charged with allegedly raping a teenage girl in 2016 and faces up to 30 years if convicted. Check out the full interview above.
