Mac Miller Receives First Grammy Nomination Posthumously – Details Here!
Mac Miller receives his first Grammy nomination almost three months to the day of his death. Three months ago today, Mac Miller was found dead from an overdose of cocaine and fentanyl. Following his death, his record sales and streams has gone thru the roof. The rewards of which has landed Mac his first Grammy Nomination for his album Swimming. The album is among albums that were nominated by the Academy and fans for Best Rap Album of the year.
Mac’s mother Ms. Karen Meyers, no doubt proud of the late star took to social media to celebrate his first Grammy nod. In the post she included a screenshot of the Academy’s nomination announcement tweet which she simply captioned, “congratulations.”
