Meek Mill Asks Fans To Put the Guns Down
Since his release from jail, Meek Mill whose street cred is indubitable is definitely trying to take his fans into a different mind frame of living this year. Earlier last week Meek issued a PSA to all rappers for 2019, to start having a property and owning business challenge instead of Jewelery jets and cars. His goal was to encourage rappers to invest into things that will give them a return on investment and keep them in the money when they are well in their 50s.
Now he’s turned his sights on fans potentially saving some from going to prison and saving the lives of others. On New Year’s Eve, Meek took to social media and asked fans not to do the traditional busting shots at midnight for New Years thing. Instead he urged them to put the guns down before the ball drops and light a candle for those we’ve lost to gun violence.
That is not the expected verbiage from a rapper to his fans, but it is one we hope our demographics will take heed to. As we head into this new space in time it will be very important to be aware of the period of enlightenment that will exist all around us. It is just as important to absorb all the life lessons from it as we continue to grow. Stay tuned, stay woke!
