A U.S. District Judge has ordered former pharmaceutical giant Martin Shkreli to forfeit $7.3 million of his assets days before his sentencing. The infamous business man has been ordered to make up the $7.3 million by giving up his Lil Wayne “Tha Carter V” album, his Wu-Tang Clan “Once Upon a Time in Shaolin” album of which there was only one copy made, in addition to $5 million cash, and his Pablo Picasso painting.
The judge however said that Martin Shkreli, who has been in jail since September after asking his social media followers to get him a sample of Hillary Clinton’s hair, would not have his assets seized until after he has had a chance to appeal his sentencing.
Shkreli initially appeared not to have been taking his case seriously and he taunted the public as well as officials that were involved in his case. But after six months in prison while awaiting his sentencing, he appears to be realizing how his life has changed. Now with his toys being taken away as well as his cash and freedom in what many are calling “Karma”, the infamous businessman seems to be realizing reality.
