Netflix has released the final trailer for its Marvel hit series Luke Cage. The trailer rolls to The Fugees’ “Ready Or Not,” and features Mariah Dillard (played by Emmy-winning actress Alfre Woodard) declaring, “You don’t need to be bulletproof to be a superhero. Black women have always had superpowers. Turning pain into progress. Harlem doesn’t need a hero, it needs a Queen.”
In season 2, Luke Cage’s identity is no longer a secret but he’s still the hooded hero who seeks to protect those in his hometown of Harlem from Bushmaster and others. The new season of Luke Cage which consists of 13 episodes will be released globally by Netflix on June 22.
