VH1 star, Sofi Green is much more than a pretty face. Her dynamic vocals and cut throat attitude make her a force to be reckoned with in today’s aggressive music industry. She recently performed her new single 98 MA$E’ on Love & Hip Hop New York. The song has since been released and will be featured on her upcoming, “Minnie Jackson” project. The song was written by award-winning songwriter, SonyaĂ© Elise (winner of Bravo TV’s “Platinum Hit”). SonyaĂ© has written for Artists like Jeremih and Omarion, and has placements on Anderson Paak’s album “MALIBU”, The Game’s “Documentary” and more.
Sofi and SonyaĂ© were able to vibe and make magic, here’s what Sofi had to say:
“98 MA$E, resonated with me so well because of its honesty…“, says Green. “They don’t really like me, they only pretend/
It didn’t fall in my lap, I had to work for this shit” – ’98 MA$E
She continues, “Women sometimes act funny style with me, based on their insecurities with the men they date; most of whom I would never even glance at. Sometimes people think because your lifestyle looks easy, or somewhat glamorous, that it was easy to obtain. Absolutely not! I work for everything; nothing was given“.
