Snoop Dogg released the new visual for “Last Dance With Mary Jane” featuring Tom Petty and Jelly Roll from his latest album ‘Missionary’ produced by Dr.Dre. The Dave Meyers directed visual pays homage to Snoop’s lifelong relationship with “mary jane,” starring Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Jelly Roll, Tom Petty, Tupac Shakur, Bob Marley, Redman, Method Man, B-Real, and Wiz Khalifa, and features animation from Temple Caché. Petty, who was connected to Dre through Interscope founder Jimmy Iovine, seemed to anticipate Dre and Snoop would use it one day. “I have this video clip with Tom Petty saying ‘If Dre ever samples the song Mary Jane’s Last Dance, he’s going to have an instant hit on his hands,’” Dre told The Los Angeles Times. So I have to really nurture that and make sure it’s presented in the right way.”
