There has been rumors buzzing around for weeks that Rae Sremmurd was breaking up. Some outlets alleged that the news of the duo’s planed breakup came from the stars themselves. The reports and speculations were heightened this past weekend when Slim Jxmmi took to his social media and posted a series of tweets which appear to put the nail in the coffin of Rae Sremmurd. Although the tweets including this one, “I’m not Rae Sremmurd I’m slim jxmmi and ima sink or swim by myself,” were later deleted the speculations of the duo’s break up had already taken a life of its own.

While Jxmmi was doing his thing, the Rae Sremmurd Twitter account appears to have been trying to hint that the group had no issues. Someone controlling the account tweeted “Brothers gonna be brothers. It’s SREMMLIFE forever.” Slim Jxmmi replied, “Noooosuuurrrr whoever tweeted this get off the Rae Srem page.”

But today Swae Lee according to reports says Rae Sremmurd is still a duo and hasn’t broken up. Also Swae Lee backed his claims in a tweet in which he replied to comedian Kenny Knox’s tweet “Rae Sremmurd fo life idc.” Swae Lee responded “Real Ones Know.” That’s not a strong confirmation from Swae Lee but since Slim Jxmmi hasn’t disputed his tweet, we’ll have to accept that for now Rae Sremmurd is still a duo.
