Tavis Smiley Announces “The Conversation: Women, Men and the Workplace” Tour + New Show

Tavis Smiley announced several deals he’s landed following his firing at PBS including a national tour called “The Conversation: Women, Men and the Workplace.” He also announced that he has a new television series called “The Upside With Tavis Smiley.” Tavis Smiley made the various announcements via Facebook in a video he posted on Monday.

In the video, he says his new online series “The Upside With Tavis Smiley” will be a weekly show to “celebrate the spirit of resilience, the power to overcome that resides in each of us.” He adds that the show will be distributed by the Word Network, which he states is the largest African-American religious network in the world. Tavis Smiley’s new show is expected to start in spring 2018, his tour is a five-city town-hall-style tour in which he will discuss “how to create safe and healthy work environments.”
