The legend continues Mathew Knowles Reflects on Beyonce’ and Blue Ivy

Mathew

After a recent Beyonce’ concert in her native city of Houston, her dad Mathew Knowles was photographed in a fun-loving group hug with her and Blue Ivy. It is one of many such moments, where the two have enjoyed time spent since his granddaughter’s arrival. With Father’s Day fast approaching, Knowles is asked to reflect on such moments with his daughter and granddaughter, and how he sees his role as a famous dad.

That pictures shows three generations of my bloodline captured together. I have a lot of these and while it is easy to look at your kin and feel pride, what’s even stronger than that feeling is love. Nowadays change is both fast and constant and divisiveness is taking center stage everywhere. I ask myself what stays and what heals? What forgives and brings us all together when everything else falls apart? It’s love. As far as being a famous father, it doesn’t matter if fame lasts 15 minutes or 50 years… families are forever and blood is thicker than everything.
