What’s the difference between Eau de Toilette vs. Eau de Parfum?

The difference between an Eau de Toilette and Eau de parfum is one that many fragrance lovers have not been able to figure out. So as we venture deeper into the fragrance world we will continue to touch on these issues.

An Eau de Toilette and Eau de parfum both smell the same. The main difference between them is longevity. When the fragrances are manufactured, Eau de parfums are given a higher concentration of fragrance oil and Eau de Toilettes are given a lower concentration. Therefore, the scent of Eau de parfums lasts longer on the body. On average a good Eau de Toilette may lasts up to 6 hours, but most last for about 2 hours. A good Eau de parfum of the same brand can last up to about 10 hours, but most last about 4-6 hours. Another difference is price. Eau de Toilettes are less expensive than Eau de parfum.
