Fans of this new generation hail XxxTentacion with legendary status in the same manner a generation hailed 2Pac. With the release of “Falling Down,” X’s legendary status will continue to grow. The posthumous collabo song features, Lil Peep and XxxTentacion, on a melodic track which creates a vivid impression of a time when both artist were alive and the pain they may have been experiencing.

The prophetic song was originally recorded by Lil Peep prior to his death in 2017. Its original title was, “Sunlight on Your Skin.” After hearing the track, X recorded a verse for it prior to his death this past June. Both artist families got together with artist, iLoveMakonnen who gave his blessing to have the song released. According to iLoveMakonnen, the song originally featured himself and Lil Peep and was recorded for his upcoming project.

In the words of X’s mom, this song is “from Peep’s mom and I.”
