Cardi B’s “Invasion Of Privacy” Album is RIAA Certified Gold in Less Than 24HRS – Details Here!

Cardi B’s debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, has been certified Gold by the RIAA in less than 24 hours of its release. Under the normal RIAA rule a record or album becomes certified Gold after it sells 500,000 copies but with streaming and some complicated math it can happen in a different manner.

Cardi B’s single “Bodak Yellow,” was certified Platinum 5 times (platinum = 1 million copies sold) by the RIAA and since 10 track units equal one album sale, Invasion of Privacy is credited for 500,000 units sold. Therefore it became a certified Gold album shortly after its release.

When the first week sales are released the numbers for Invasion of Privacy will be credited strictly on its own individual unit sales. So we expect that the album will debut at #1 on the Billboard Charts and will probably be certified Platinum in less that two weeks.
