Collie Buddz Drops New Single “Bank” feat. B Young & Russ
Collie Buddz has released his new single called “Bank,” featuring B Young & Russ. About the track and his album the artist revealed the following:
“This might be my favorite song off of the upcoming Hybrid album,” Buddz says of the new single. “I love the way the record turned out but particularly enjoyed the creation process of how everything came together. I produced the riddim and originally laid down the hook + 2 verses. Felt like something was missing so I reached out to B Young (one of my current favorite artists) via Instagram to add his touch. He responded immediately and blessed the track within a couple of days. His verse was so fire I decided to adjust my own verse & re-arrange the song structure. Few months later Russ came by my Oakland studio to work on music, and I played him a few tracks from the album. Soon as he heard the beat he wrote and laid down his verse. We are both producers/engineers and it was refreshing to work with someone who knows their way around a studio like Russ. I remember laughing so hard my side hurting from all the jokes and thinking did this really just happen. Really proud of this one and dedicate it to everyone out there working hard and handling business!”
Russ adds, “Collie Buddz is a legend and has been one of my favorite artists for a long time. Bank was the first thing he played me the first night we met. I knew it was the one. His cadence and penmanship is unbelievable. B Young killed his verse too.”
The song is produced by Collie Buddz and written by Collie Buddz, B Young & Russ.
It’s mixed and mastered by Niko Marzouca at Niko’s House Studios, FL.
