Today, St. Louis rapper Smino shared a new video taken from his 2018 sophomore album NOIR. The visual for “Z4L,” co-directed by HaitainEv and Henny, features Bari and Jay2 in a fun-loving chronicle of Smino’s life on tour so far, with additional cameos from Cousin Stizz and Buddy.

Smino’s North American Hoopti tour, which kicked off March 23rd with back-to-back shows in Chicago, will see him play 29 shows across the US and Canada, including both weekends of Coachella, before concluding in Detroit on May 17th. The tour includes sold out dates in San Francisco, LA, New York, Toronto, Montreal and Boston, and began following his first appearance onThe Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, where he joined Noname and Saba to perform “Ace.”

His versatile sophomore album  NOIR received widespread critical-acclaim and landed on numerous year-end lists, including Complex, Noisey and The Ringer, with Highsnobiety deeming it “one of the most consistently original rap albums of the year.” The new album marks a triumphant return to music for Smino,  pulling directly from his personal experiences to craft a brighter album that encapsulates Smino’s outlook on life at the present moment. With his second album, Smino showcases the many influences that stem from his diverse musical background and his confidence shines through across all 18 songs, all while capturing his distinct St. Louis spin on hip hop.
