Drake’s Sets New First Day Streaming Records – Details Here!

Drake’s new album Scorpion which was released Friday, June 29th, has broken his own Apple all-time record for the most streams in a single day with over 170 million streams. According to Apple Music, Scorpion has also set a new record for the most single-day stream on all streaming services. The album has also set a new U.S. and global streaming records for Apple with 122 million copies sold on Apple Music within 24 hours.

With regards to Spotify, Scorpion has set a a new single-day global record for album streams with 132,450,203 streams. The album had over 50,000,000 more streams than Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys, which held the streaming record with 78,744,748 streams globally on its first day.

Congrats are in order for Drake! Especially since many thought his career was in jeopardy following the lyrical assault he received from Pusha T.
