The new film about the 1997 murder of famed legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G., called, City of Lies has been put on hold indefinitely. The film which focuses on the investigation into the murder of the rap star, starring Johnny Depp as detective Russell Poole and Forrest Whitaker as reporter Jack Jackson, was scheduled to hit theaters on September 7. Now according to reports, the film has been pulled from all theaters release schedules.

So far there are no new release dates available for City of Lies, and there are no reasons given for the sudden change in scheduling. The movie as we are told has been completed and edited but no further information was given. We speculate based on a source, that there is an alleged lawsuit coming regarding the film.
